Early Explorers: Ages 1-2 Years

At Growing Brilliant, our early toddler program develops social awareness and exploration. Cognitive and motor development are enhanced as children have space to physically explore their world. Guided play, hands-on learning centers, and daily routines are introduced.

Early Explorers II Class: Ages 1.5-2.5 (Toddler Option)

Our toddler preschool program develops social awareness and helps children to build friendships. The Early Explorers II class provides a seamless transition between our infant and preschool programs. Cognitive and motor development are enhanced as children engage in hands-on learning activities. Daily routines help children feel safe and comfortable since knowing what to expect next builds trust and security. Independence and self-help skills are also reinforced.

Toddler Physical Development

Our Preschool Academy features a large 1.5-acre outdoor learning environment. Our toddler play area provides a space for overall physical fitness, creativity, and exercise.

Toddlers experience healthy food choices through our balanced, organic daily snack schedule. We also teach the importance of healthy daily habits (i.e. washing hands).

Toddler Social and Emotional Development

Our Early Explorers develop peer relationships with the supportive guidance of teachers.

Sharing and cooperative play is modeled and encouraged.

Toddler Intellectual Development

In our toddler preschool program, students listen to stories and engage in text. Vocabularies are built through pictures and objects.

Our Little Learners preschool students will learn to climb and play on equipment within the physical environment. Our facility is on 1.5 acres of land, so there is plenty of space to explore outdoors. They learn to pedal a bike and become proficient at running.

Little Learners will become increasingly independent as they develop self-help skills.

Preschool Social and Emotional Development

Preschool children in this class begin to identify their feelings and articulate their needs as they learn to cooperate during planned activities. Caregivers model emotional expression and support these skills by encouraging children to express their needs.

Physical Development

Kindergarten Readiness students are able to explore the outdoors with our 1.5-acre campus. They learn to hop, stand on one foot, and skip during movement activities, games, and structured exercise.

Our students learn about health and wellness as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Social and Emotional Development

Our Pre-Kindergarten students develop a sense of identity by making choices and expressing interest within the learning environment. They are free to choose toys and centers during less structured times. Our students learn to demonstrate self-regulating behavior as they negotiate and take turns with friends.

Intellectual Development

Our Kindergarten Readiness students begin to understand multiple concepts of print. They listen to stories and begin early reading instruction. They learn to trace or write their names and various letters.

Our Pre-Kindergarten children learn to count and sort up to 10 or more objects as they work at math centers and during calendar time. They work on counting to 100 and beyond. They can copy a triangle and other geometric shapes.

Our students experiment with their ideas. They will learn to predict outcomes as they work with their teacher to follow scientific processes.

Cognition & Knowledge of the World

Pre-Kindergarten students develop critical thinking skills while learning about different people and features of their community. They connect learning with life when professionals visit the classroom.

Children learn about rhythm, beat, and creating new sounds as they play instruments.

TK Intellectual Development

TK students will begin reading at their individual levels while understanding multiple concepts of print. Our students begin writing simple words, sentences, and paragraphs.
